Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), in partnership with Hanley Wood, will be featured in the HIVE Innovation Lounge at the premiere HIVE 2016 conference in Los Angeles on September 28 and 29. Bringing together the brightest minds and talents to address the ever-challenging housing industry, HIVE 2016 will act as an incubator of forward-looking ideas, inspirations, and inventions that will change the future of the construction and design industries and enhance the way builders, architects, land developers, and place-makers think and work. It will also be an opportunity for attendees to connect and network with an exclusive lineup of the housing industry’s C-suite, thought-leaders, game-changers, and policy makers.

Over a two-day period, HIVE 2016 will present keynote addresses and educational content delivered by innovative thought leaders, including CTOs, CEOs, authors, economists, and educators. Content and discussions at this first-ever event will be driven by five transformative forces: Demographics, Finance, Design, Products, and Business Management. Attendees will include academics, architects, builders, community planners, dealers and distributors, developers, manufacturers, and policy makers, as well as leaders in technology, finance, and government affairs.

The HIVE Innovation Lounge will highlight the latest technologies and products from companies across the country such as Mitsubishi Electric. Attendees will be able to visit exhibits, collect information, and network with their peers through innovative technology.  This technology allows attendees to collect data such as session materials and exhibitor information.  It also provides a simple-to-use platform through which attendees can exchange contact information with their peers.  With the touch of a badge or a “high-five” with one of their peers, attendees with be able to transfer information to their personal device.  This information can then be downloaded and reviewed after the show.

“HIVE 2016 promises to offer the industry new ideas and new ways of thinking on how to build the next generation of homes,” said John McManus, Editorial Director-Residential Group of Hanley Wood. “This transformation can only occur through new technology, new products, and new materials that help builders, developers, and designers think outside the box about new ways to build. We are grateful to Mitsubishi Electric for their support.”

Mitsubishi Electric’s mission is to transform the HVAC industry with products, solutions and services that improve comfort and conserve energy. “HIVE 2016 provides a platform for discussion and collaboration with the brightest minds in the industry. We are thrilled to be a part of this conversation and share our expertise in personalized home comfort, as well as learn from others, in order to shape future technologies and develop best practices that dictate how we design, build and live,” said Mark Kuntz, senior vice president, product strategy and engineering, Mitsubishi Electric.
